FAQs

Will CPS require us to change from our current equipment/service vendor?

No. CPS has no intention of having you replace your preferred vendor. We only implement client-approved savings and objectives. If you feel your vendor is worth the premium they charge over their direct competition, you are not obligated to change vendors or reduce your costs.

How does CPS calculate savings?

Cost reductions are very straightforward. Savings are calculated as your current monthly equipment and service costs minus your new monthly equipment and service cost that CPS negotiated for you. We recognize our clients will receive additional “soft-savings” (i.e. administrative time saved), but these “fluffy” savings are not included in our fee.

If you reduce our vendors’ margins won’t our service levels decrease?

No. In fact, service levels generally improve. We understand quality service is just as important as saving money. Therefore, CPS never advocates completely eliminating vendor profit. We DO advocate a fair deal for all parties and will stand against any of the dishonest practices that continue to plague the copier industry.

How long does your service take to complete?

Your time commitment is minimal. The majority of our process takes place offsite. After the initial gathering of information, we will only need to contact you periodically via email or phone to inform you of our progress, vendor interactions, etc.

After CPS has completed vendor negotiations, we will schedule a meeting to present our results and recommendations. Once we have your approval on our proposed solution, we will assist in the final contract implementation and you’re on your way to improving your bottom line.

Why should we use CPS when we usually just do this ourselves?

Even the most experienced purchasing agents only review their copiers every 3-5 years. Additionally, most companies are usually limited to making this decision based upon the equipment and pricing presented to them by biased commissioned sales representatives.

CPS’s negotiation methodologies cut the fat. We’re willing to make the tough calls needed to ensure our clients receive the most competitive terms, service and pricing available.

We really just need help with a certain topic and not a full consultation. Can you help?

Yes. Although our clients typically recognized the most savings from our full consultation, we are willing to help with specific questions. In these circumstances CPS will charge a flat-fee based upon the type of service you require. Please email or call us for our full price sheet of services.
